Graphically, this game excels.
Musically, this game has ambient noise that really sets the mood very subtly.
Gameplay is very smooth without many horrible glitches or lags in the design. It reminded me of God of War or even possibly Devil May Cry. The attacks are counted and you’re given a score based on how many hits you can dish before all enemies are defeated. You also collect orbs after you kill and based on what objects you open. The only real difference is now you can pick to send people to hell or heaven as you see fit.
The story line is that you’re a knight during the time of the Crusades and you end up in the underworld looking for Beatrice, and you fight countless undead beings and through the deadly sins. You aren’t welcomed in this underworld either, so countless beings will be coming after you and trying to make your life miserable on your quest for the lovely lady.
There are mini puzzles that you need to figure out patterns to in order to defeat your opponents, but it’s nothing that takes too long to figure out and accomplish. It made me think of a merger of God of War and Tomb Raider in the nature of the gameplay and puzzles.
